Bridget Prentice MP

Bridget Prentice has been the Member of Parliament for Lewisham East since 1992. She was born in the East End of Glasgow, but moved to London 25 years ago.

Before entering Parliament, Bridget was Head of Careers  at the London Oratory School, and a Hammersmith and Fulham councillor.

She has held several positions in government, including Assistant Whip (97-98), Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister for Trade (98-99), and Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Lord Chancellor (99 to present).

Her special interests include education, law, and home affairs. Outside of Parliament, Bridget is a keen football fan, and supporter of Celtic FC. She is a qualified badminton coach. 

Bridget lives  in Hither Green with her two cats, Jimmy and Joe.
